Big tech promised us a more connected and convenient every-day life, but does that mean our lives are better, richer and happier? Scientific research suggests that apps which have been engineered to place an unwarranted amount of demand on our lives, are making us, in the best case scenario; less happy. I think of us as having been tempted to take the snake’s bait.
