A brand-new, juried initiative highlighting contemporary Swedish photography. The interest was overwhelming: 5,860 images were submitted by 1,311 photographers across the country, but only a small fraction made it into the final exhibition.
Screen Time
Varro’s contribution, the artwork Screen Time, was one of those chosen. With its conceptual visual language, it explores our digital age and the human dependency on screens – a theme that resonates strongly with the Salon’s ambition to reflect both deeply personal experiences and universal questions.

The jury
The jury – consisting of Pauline Benthede, Eva Dahlgren, Paul Hansen, and Dragana Vujanović Östlind – curated a selection that demonstrates the full spectrum of contemporary photography: from documentary and autobiographical narratives to poetic and experimental approaches. That Screen Time was chosen among thousands of entries underlines both its relevance and artistic strength.

As the Hasselblad Foundation’s very first Photo Salon sets out to move freely across genres and themes, Varro’s participation marks not only a recognition of his artistic vision but also an important milestone in his career.
Screen Time sold
During the exhibition Screen Time in the edition of 9 was sold to an art collector in Norway.
